Thank you for this opportunity! I have been very inspired by “The Real Thing,” so much so that my friends and I have been talking about it since its debut. So I am honored and pleased to share my inspiration from the CD with you. The poem was written specifically for the contest, only the pictures and Naomi quote were borrowed, otherwise everything else is of my own creation. Enjoy!

Jill, wow I am such a BIG FAN . I was just reading your interview with ESSENCE magazine talking about her relationship with her new son and his father. The song “Come Live with Me” by Marvin Gaye, I listen to each and every day. It’s unfortunate that things didn’t work out with them. I know she will be a great mother. I hope to meet her one day.
