Backstage at the Phoenix Concert
A letter from a fan, Marcia:
This is a picture taken a few days ago at Jill’s show in Phoenix. She was sick and had a fever, but the ever present smile.

If you have any photos with Jill Scott or want to submit a video testimonial of her album or concert, please email fans@jillscott.com and we will put you up for everyone to see…

Awwww………….. my boo boo looks so tired. She looks like she’s trying to hang in there and still have that beautiful smile. I really hopes she gets some rest, so she can rip the Chocolate City (D.C.) apart. I know every city has their own testimony about Jill’s show. But it’s just something about the D.M.V. that brings fire. Jill we’re waiting on your right here mama wit open arms. That explains why you had to schedule (4) shows wit us

Jill last night was so beautiful..they way you looked and sounded..I really want to thank you for being so down to earth with your music..you had it rockin last night..i’m still trippin how u were in those heels all night til the end..had to bring out the uggs..lol..Really had a great time.
I just experienced the Real Thing Tour last night in Houston, TX at the Verizon Theather…AWESOME! This was my 1st time to see Jill perform. I have been a fan for years but missed opportunities to see her. It was well worth the wait. Jill rocked the packed house until well after 11:30. She gives so much. Quite the entertainer. But the highlight was her finale… a Word from God. “Do You Understand”. Put THE REAL THING in perspective. Jill is notorious for that. She is inspiring and a talent to be reckoned. All this talk of “Queens”. In my book she is the Queen of Neo Soul, the Queen of keeping it REAL. The Real Thing Experience…I’m forever changed! Thank you Ms. Scott.
Jill Rocked that Concert…even though she was sick you would have never known it! Her very last enprompt to song that she was trying out on the crowd, that she said came to her in a dream had me in tears as wells as many other’s surronding me. You could feel the energy and warmth from that song..obviously God was working through her to present that.
I saw Jill in concert last week and I just have to say that she was fabulous!!! I love listening to Jill’s CD’s (every last one of them) and I was so excited to see her and I was thrilled that she was even better in person. My neice had never been to a concert and we listen to Jill all the time around the house so when I told her that Jill was coming to Phoenix she was really excited that the first concert she was going to get to go to was Jill Scott. She loved it. I’m telling everybody out there that if you get the chance to see Jill Scott in concert don’t miss it!
Love all your work. Keep up the truth of how life makes you feel.
P.S .If your every near it would be such a joy to thank you in person.
I had the great pleasure of seeing Jill last night at the Lyric in Baltimore. The sista was off the chain. She takes you to another place with her music. She sings as she feels. Such a beautiful spirit. You can feel the love, pain, whatever she is feeling. She Is “JILL SCOTT” the ‘REAL THING”. Can’t wait till you come this way again.

That’s what Jill Scott is to me, and after that outstanding performance last night at the “Lyric Opera House” in Baltimore, Md it just makes me want to seek training in exercising my vocal cords.
Keep on doing what your’e doing my “Aries” sister
3/26/66 (my b-day). Loooove you and God Bless your career!!!!
Hello
I saw you perform for the first time, at Radio City(2007). I have your cds and love the way they make me feel. But it wasn’t until I saw you in person, that I realized your cds do not do you justice. Your immaculate in person. Your voice is capturing. You had the entire crowd mezmerized and rocking. Even the atmosphere was groovy and laid back,as if we were all your friends, just hanging out. Your vibe and presence is that soothing, to keep a large crowd calm, drawn and entertained.
Well, a couple of friends and I are going to see you perform this weekend in NJ. I can’t wait.
Sincerely,
Michelle Rodriguez
P.S. My birthday is in May, and I could not ask for a better birthday gift – I am a voluptuous latin woman who will be treating herself to a Butterfly bra. Thank you Jill
HUGS AND KISSES
Ms Scott is amazing whe she performs. Some friends of mine and I went on a road trip to Boston on March 10th to see Jill. The show made extremely beautiful, Jill loves what she does and it comes out her pores. I am twenty one and I have love Jill since her debut album and being that I was only in middle school I saved for the CD like I saved for this road trip. I am a journalist major and one day soon I will be interviewing Ms Scott.
OMG!!! OMG!!!
I am a HUGE Jill Scott fan and have seen her everytime she has come to the Richmond,VA area but I saw Jill perform on Sunday and I’m still on a high! She was sooo…words cannot explain the show.
