You are the best singer, songwriter, and live performer ever! From the moment I saw you on Soul Train with The Roots - “You Got Me,” I was hooked. I saw your performance live at the Tabernacle when you opened for Common - AMAZING. When you performed on the award show with the Blue man Group - AWESOME. Your positive energy, your beauty, your self pride and awareness add to your talent. I really enjoyed you in Tyler Perry’s movie “Why did I Get Married?” You have been a pleasure to support and I look forward to everything that you do in future. I was happy to see your marriage flourish, sad to see it end, and proud to see your strength to overcome. You are a true inspiration. I can’t wait to see you in Atlanta again.

Jill,
I had the chance to meet you when you were here in KC this year. I was so glad to meet you, you are my favorite singer and many of your songs I connect to because just like your album tiltle, it is “real”. Real life. I love you because you are an inspriation not just for your songs but because of who JIll Scott really is. Just from the short time talking to you I felt like I had been knowing you for a long time. I guess because you was just like you are on tv. “Real”. Girl, I am so glad I got to meet you and if you had been here in K C for another night I would have been right up front singing every word to each song you sang…just like I did the night I saw you here and in St. Louis, MO. That’s right I traveled to STL to see you in March of this year. So I got to see you twice this year…money well spent because you put on a great show. My 3 year old son loves you and will sing your songs word for word when I play your cd’s.. which is often (LOL)…daily..he use to think that I was you when he would see you on tv…
Love you girl, Your look a like Andrea C. (yes, people tell me I look like you.. very frequently)

Hi Jill,
I must say, at a time when most young kids are listening to Lil Wayne, my soon to be 13 year old daughter loves listening to you. I introduced her to the 826+ Live CD and she’s been hooked ever since. Please know that all of your pains and your joys teach me and my daughter lessons as your bring meaning and hope to life through song. After watching you perform live in Greensboro, NC, I could say so much more about how I feel we are connected but I’m sure I don’t have enough space. It was a wonderful experience for my husband to see you together. Your voice does ignite love. Please keep teaching the world with your God given gift.
Much Love & Appreciation,

I just want you to know I admire your work, your confidence and the way you carry yourself. I truly enjoyed the part you played in Why Did I Get Married. I felt your pain, because I went through that and worse with my ex husband, from being abused (me and my kids) to being cheated on repeatedly. I found what help me to get through it was my 5 sons, now 6 since I remarried. I still hurt inside but one of the ways I work through the pain is music. Over my lifetime Ive written close to 60 songs, but my voice has yet to be heard, maybe one day. Much MORE success to you in your career.
God Bless,

Dear Jill,
Yes I started this little note out as we were best of friends because that’s how I feel. You sista are a inspriation to MANY. A God Given Gift for us to embrace and cherish. Thank You for being that role model, that womanly Woman that we have to admire from a far. As a music lover, a lover of music with a meaning I must say that you are on point. When Marvin Gaye wrote music he wrote from his heart, just as you do. So Jill keep your head up and inspire me more to Love and Be Loved, Thank God above for what I have, and WORK IT! Let them Haters HATE ON, cause I got Nothing But Love for You.

Dear Jill,
I bought your first CD and I loved your music every since. I appreciate the positive and affirmative aspect in your music. You are music is sensual and sexy, kind of like the old R& B music. Anyway, a friend, Julius Rouse, and I had shared poetry by Langston Hughes, movies, such as Training Day, opinions about current events, and helped with my study of Egypt history. Therefore, the next natural thing to share was your CD. He loved it. Of course, we talked about why we loved. My friend passed away a couple of years ago. However, when I listen to your music, I think of my friend. Thanks for sharing your gift with us.

Today I watched the interview of you and the concert you gave in Paris with my mother till 5 O’clock in the morning. My mother; late 60’s, is nuts about you; she is a music teacher here in Germany. Both of us keep buying your CD’s over and over; they either become stolen or she takes mine and I take hers; my woman take mine, I take my mothers.
Oh; I forgot, I myself ; crazy about you too. I run a bike shop here and I play your music all the time; though some of the young brothas trip about it; strangely though all the white boys dig it!!!Furthermore; those military moms too. Any who; your interview made me more curious about; who is Jill Scott? You have a voice of a sweet woman when you speak and a strong soulful sound when you sing; it touches me deep like an orgasmic wound.
What I find beautiful; the sounds of which you speak; moves men and women. Your words apply to many peoples lives and living situations. I read somewhere that you gave up on the idea of teaching;I don’t know if thats true; however, if it is ; your still doing it and a Damn good job of it too. PLEASE continue to move forward and inspire!! Congrats on your new man of choice; I hope you guys have a long, soulful future together. PEACE be on to you! Im out.

Miss Scott,
I have been a huge fan of yours since “Who Is Jill Scott”. I absolutely loves your words and the way you speak. Your voice is so beauiful. Me and my cousin both are huge fans, and when we heard “Imagination”, we both cried because thats the way we feel. You speak truth and knowlegde, and anyone who listens to your music and doesn’t feel that way isn’t listening to a Jill Scott record. For real. I am a poet, so I listen and graps everything you say. Not only for the muscial aspect of it, but also for the message and meaning behind the music. I think you are brilliant and such a gorgous full figured black woman. I am full figured myself, and I admire the confidence you bring to the stage, to the television, and in your live shows. If the Lord ever decided to bless me with the chance to sit and talk with you, even if only for 5 minutes, i would learn as much as I could from you. I would listen to your words of wisdom, and then write about my Jill Scott Experience. I do hope that you continue making beautiful music and being an inspiration to a lot of young ladies trapped in the world…myself included. Stay strong, stay beautiful, and keep the music coming.

My 10 month old daughter LOVES you! It all started when she was about 2 weeks old and we were giving her her first bath. I had your cd playing in the background to keep her calm, and it was a wonderful experience. Since then, whenever we are in the car for an extended amount of time and she starts to get a little fussy, we just put you on and you do all the work. So my husband and I have to thank you for always being there when we need you. You have taken the stress out of what could potentially be extremely stressful car rides. Thank you!

Ms. Scott,
I have to admit…when you dropped your first single “Gettin in the way” I was blown away. Though I was younger the music still moved me. Now that im 21 and i listen to it….i wonder how can someone be so talented and gifted with using words the way that you do. You are a wonderful and beautiful woman. Keep doing you ma. And please dont ever stop!!! By the way, I dont know if all of your shows are the same, But when you came to nashville tn on july 1st you perform a song at the end of your concert that was off the HOOK!!!! I wasnt anything off your previous cds, but the song was beautiful. You said you came up with it some months ago.I felt special because you performed it for us. Me and my sister was singing it around the house for days. You had the audience singing along with you…and it was just awesome. I would love if you put that on your next cd….thats a #1 hit waiting to happen!!! Well I hope you get this due to your crazy schedule. Peace & Love ~Keshia~

Jill,
I am a “Philly” girl from around the way- 27th and Girard to be exact. I am also a mother of 7 beautiful children and a woman who is just about to close one chapter in my life to only open another. I have been fortunate enough to have you( your music) by my side as I navigate through this journey called living. Your gift of expression has given me the rare moments (that we sometimes don’t give ourselves) to ponder life’s most precious question- ‘Am I worthy of IT” ? Am I worthy of living my best life, a whole life- one filled reverence, peace and unspeakable joy ? Your music has given me the clarity to seek authenticity in everything I do and the ability to discern that I am worthy of IT… Love , Peace and Joy- Kareema

Dear Jill,
I’ve actually been wanting to find something out for a long time about you. I’ve been a big fan of yours since the first album came out, however; I’ve always wondered what your stance on gay people is. I’m sure you’re aware that you have a gi-normous gay following, however; I have never seen one thing in print or online about your views of gay people, gay marriage, gay rights…etc. I would like to know what they are if you would be willing to share them.
I think the reason I feel the needs to ask is due to the fact that I can’t find any comments in regard to that subject, even online, and it makes me question whether you have leanings that are anti-gay, but you don’t want to marginalize part of your audience, so you stay quiet on the subject, or it could be the reverse, or none of the above, but I’m certainly curious, and have been for a long time.
Thanks; Sincerely,
Kris

Hi Jill,
I know this probably sounds like I have had my head in the sand. But I am just discovering the Jill Scott expereince. I purchased the real thing because I heard “Hate on Me” and it became my anthem for that time in my life. Since then I have purchased every cd and live concert of your work that I can find. I believe everything happens for a reason and I found you when God knew I needed to hear you speak to me. Thank you for your work, your talents, your vision and your inspiration. You let me know that my feelings can be expressed. You let me know it’s ok to hurt and ok to love beyond measure. I am blessed and so are you. Our cross my never meet in any other way than for me to hear your voice or see you perform but I know it’s a gift for me. May God continue to rain down blessing in your life. Take care of your gift. Peace, Terri.

I wish you were my sister
I have no more prayers for her
So I look at you and wish you were my sister
Then I remember you are

I dont need to talk to you
I can still love you

Just seeing you makes me smile for days. Although I’m not a true R&B/Neo Soul listener, when I hear your music, I am dedicated to listening. Well, this concludes my expressions to you (at this time). Hopefully, you reply and Ican get to see what is felt. Thank you for your time.

Dear Mrs. Scott,
I just wanted you to know that my wife and I truly love your music, it has served as an inspiration to us in every sense of the word. It has strengthened our relationship, and given us hope that there are better days ahead. We are flying into Washington, D.C. to see your show, and it is our hope that we could meet you in person just to say thank you. I am sure you have received this request a thousand times, but as my wife likes to say..”nothing beats a failure but a try”…

Just home from your gig tonight in London at Brixton, A transcendant experience you open hearted woman. Many thanks for sharing. Your work over comes any and every obstacle of technology but please get sound men who have an idea about the importance of “the Word” in your work. I mean that in the sense of your poetry as opposed to ” the Gospel”. I am afraid to say that it was only because i know your work so well that i ‘heard’ the text.
BUT i had an amazing time.

Hi Jill,
Always a fan who supports everything you do- “Perfect Love”. I appreciate the creation of the “Butterfly Bra”, great for back support, however let me take it a step further and request for you to also create or add to the already fabulous creation, a front hooked panel for gals like me who carry tummy fat under breast area. This would be a full length mid section bra, with the butterfly back and firm under bra support hitting the mid-section. This would give ladies like me an hourglass shape with back and front support. Hooked in the front will assist for ease and comfort putting on and taking off, with smoothness under clothes. Looking good, feeling great builds confidence. I am 44 and loving every bit of life. Respond, please so I may draw you a picture. Thank you for your time and all you do. Excellence is standard, never the goal. Be Blessed

Greetings Queen,
I am writing to let you know that you have set a new standard by which all female r&b artists are measured. I love all of your music! My favorite (among many of your songs) is “My Love”. The beginning reminds me of a similar voice mail message I received upon returning from my honeymoon. It was an ex-girlfriend that I broke up with because of the long distance. The music and the content rings continually in my head. I am a smooth jazz trumpet player. I hope to perform a duet with you on “My Love” someday soon. You’ll hear more about me when my CD “Feelin’ Good” comes out this fall. I’ll send you a copy. Take care, keep singing, and may God continue blessing you.

I have to say that I love your music and you have truly gotten me through some rough patches in my life and I think I do favor you alot so its always a compliment for people to say, you look just like Jill Scott! It really helps to solidify my beauty.
Hi Jill,
I must say, at a time when most young kids are listening to Lil Wayne, my soon to be 13 year old daughter loves listening to you.
Much Love & Appreciation,
Hermanda Williamson, Reidsville, NC
I think U are one of the most real sisters out there, keeping doing your thing. I listen 2 your songs and know people aer still real in the business.love you do it for the sistres without a voices!!!!
God Bless,
Samantha Williams-Hayes
You are a very beautful black woman. Your music is a true gift from God. I can relate your wonderful songs to things that I have been through in life. Please keep on doing what you do. GOD made you to be the golden person that you are. I hope to meet you one day.

I have to thank U Tube. Her music is inspiring. I’m happy to see a person who truly deserves recognition for talent. Way to go,Jill! Your voice is Golden!!

May God blees U, Have a Great Day
Dear Jill,
Yes I started this little note out as we were best of friends because that’s how I feel.
Peace, Blessings, & One Love,
Ms. J
Dear Jill,
I bought your first CD and I loved your music every since.
Just wanted to say that I dig your style amd flow. Keep doing what your doing.
I love your music and I love your confidence. You make me smile.

The thing is as a man I get what you are saying about relationships and how a man and woman should relate. I love it. Crown Royal was off the chain. My girlfriend and I love the new album. Keep your head up and know that you are making a difference. I wish you many blessings sister!
I have always found your music and your spirit to be inspiring, but “My Love” is mindblowing. The tear at the end of the video took my breath away. From one writer to another, you are my muse.

I just have to say I love this album. So many of your songs on this album describe so much of what I have lived through the past ten or so years. You have an amazing voice and I can’t wait to hear what you put out next. Also I have to say you were incredible in Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I get Married?”!!! Love YA!!!

Jill Scott thanks for share in your music the thinks most black women want to express but simply could not find the words to say it. You are a special woman and a blessing from GOD. I love your poetry, your voice musically and orally. You represent the full figure women with grace, class and beauty, Thanks for representing!!!
I saw the show in Atlanta @ Chastain. It was an incredible experience. My boyfriend loved the song you did in the encore. Thank you for sharing your gift, it’s a true treasure.
Im out.
Jill you are one of my all time favorites.. When I hear your voice it send chills down my spine.. I know your parents should be over joyed with your accomplishments and the beautiful woman you turned out to be.. Especially the Lord above.. Well I just wanted to show some Luv.. Especially where it’s due.. Thanks for providing music me and my husband can share together.. Are just for when I need that alone time.. if you know what I mean.. Well again Thank you and if I never meet you at least I know we are still Friends on myspace… Charlotte
Miss Scott,
I have been a huge fan of yours since “Who Is Jill Scott”.
Hi Jill, I just wanted to let you know that I was present at ur show on Monday at Wingate Park, in Brooklyn. You did such a beautiful job… I don’t know if you received it or not but there was a contest winner who got to see you after the show…well, I gave her a photo of me and my friend with a message on the back. If you did get it I hope you liked the message, if not maybe next time. lol I hope you have fun in Africa. mwa!!

Big up girl, much love x x x
My 10 month old daughter LOVES you! It all started when she was about 2 weeks old and we were giving her her first bath. I had your cd playing in the background to keep her calm, and it was a wonderful experience. Since then, whenever we are in the car for an extended amount of time and she starts to get a little fussy, we just put you on and you do all the work. So my husband and I have to thank you for always being there when we need you. You have taken the stress out of what could potentially be extremely stressful car rides. Thank you!
You are a beautiful person with a powerful voice! God Bless you in all that you do!
Dawnae
Ms. Scott,
I have to admit…when you dropped your first single “Gettin in the way” I was blown away.
I love you Ma! Your poetry is beautiful and beauty looks good on you! I want you to play me in the story of my life! Let’s get Tyler Perry to hook that up! lol
Jill,
From the first time I heard “Can’t get in the way,” I’ve been hooked. Your music, it’s rythm and vibe, has helped me through some rough times and hyped me up just as often. I send these lines to you to let you know that you are a blessing to so many in so many ways. Stay strong, be loved, be blessed.

Jill,
I am a “Philly” girl from around the way- 27th and Girard to be exact.
Thanks for being obedeint and follow your dreams, your music touches the soul and relax the body and mind which is so needed in todays world, natural things to soothe your soul and your level of creativity takes you above and beyond thank you again.
Jill,
I was feeling down because I was going through something, but your song “Hate On Me” uplifted me and gave me peace and encouragement.
Thank You Sister! Keep doing what you do.
Kearston
Dear Jill,
I’ve actually been wanting to find something out for a long time about you.
Thanks; Sincerely,
Kris
See you in Brooklyn
I am loving the new album that is true reflection and new flava to Jill…but all your CDs have been big hits and inspiration to me as writer..thank you sister..still watch you “Why Did I Get Marry” spoken for sisters all over

First I must say that you are an awesome expression of true beauty as God designed it to be. My name is Nicole, I am the House Manager @ a homeless women’s center in dc. The women are in need of undergarments, especially those that are well endowed. Can you help? We have heard some great things about the butterfly bra you have designed. Salutations Ms. Jill Scoot!
I think you are one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen in my life! When I hear your voice (whether singing or speaking), my body gets warm and I get chill bumps. Just seeing you makes me smile for days. Although I’m not a true R&B/Neo Soul listener, when I hear your music, I am dedicated to listening. Well, this concludes my expressions to you (at this time). Hopefully, you reply and Ican get to see what is felt. Thank you for your time.

Jill, I have been a supporter of yours since day one. Your music is a great poetic proverb of lifes lessons and sensuality. I love your spirit and the way u carry yourself. You are nothing but a Woman Proverbs always growing and elevating. One of my favorite songs on your new album How does it make you feel. Just to think about it, I did an article of The Real Thing for the Exclusive Magazine that I’m part of. I thank God for u sis and keep Christ 1st, and he will guide your steps day by day!! Dear Mrs. Scott,
I just wanted you to know that my wife and I truly love your music, it has served as an inspiration to us in every sense of the word.
In our prayers,
Dedglan and Darshelle Freeman, Fans for life

Jill and The Paradiso, Amsterdam: a mesmerizing combination! Yesterday I saw you perform in the Dutch so-called ‘Pop Temple’ for the third time already. Every time you bring the house down. I am looking forward to the thirtieth (!) time - in the meantime please keep surprising us with your pure talent.
P.S.: the lady-without-the-earrings I met at the entrance made my day too.
Your music has touched me in many ways, on many levels. Keep doing what you’re doing and be true to yourself. Your feelings spill into your music and fill your fans with each emotion that ran through your soul. Good luck & God bless!

BUT i had an amazing time.
thank you for your gift as an artistI thank you as an artist

Hi Jill,
Always a fan who supports everything you do- “Perfect Love”.

I love you Jill Scott. There really isn’t anything that I could say to truely justify what you stand for in my life and so many other people like myself. You are an angel sent from heaven that has blessed us with your GOD given talent. You always stay positve despite all of the negative that is out there. You are constantly allowing us into your world with no hesitations and no regrets about who you are and where you come from. You are a graceful and beautiful woman who respects herself and others. But what I love most about you is that Jill Scott is her own person. She thinks for herself, puts out music she wants to p
