    Crown Royal on Ice is one of my favorites. So good that a couple of Christmases ago, I put together a sexy video for my hubby just wearing the dress hat I bought him that year, fishnets and a few other props. Girl your music is so inspiring – he was blown away! Thanks Jill.

    Dear Jill:

    In 2006 I wrote a manuscript which is the first one I have ever written. It is a fiction/romance that I strongly feel is worth reading. I felt inspired to write the manuscript after watching the DVD “The Secret”. The reason I write to you is because the character in the story I wrote is a person I know many women will definitely identify with and appreciate. The other reason I decided to write you is because I truly admire your strength, grace, honesty, and courage. Also, I absolutely love, love, love your inspiring soul stirring songs, and the powerful message each one conveys. I watch the Monique show every night, and I am truly inspired and motivated by the guest she has on her show to go after my dreams. Therefore, I would love to send you this story via email or regular mail if interested. I feel in my heart and spirit that the story I wrote has true potential, and everything in life happens for a reason.

    Thank you for your consideration of my letter. I hope to hear from you with your thoughts, and hopefully feedback of my manuscript. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed after reading the entire story, if you choose to do so. “Nothing ventured is nothing gained.”

    I was just watching you on the Mo’Nique show and something she kept saying moved me to post here. She kept saying that your music saves lives and I want you to know that for me your music has definitely got me through some hard times. Me and my college roommate joke about this now but during my sophomore year of college I was very down and depressed and dealing with self-esteem issues and I would listen to songs like “One is the magic #” and “slowly surely” and it would get me through another day. My roommate said that whenever she heard your music playing in the room she knew something was wrong and I was going through it. It’s funny now but still to this day I listen to those songs in particular to remind myself of my own self worth. I made it through college and grad school listening to your music. Also, I’m so excited about your new Lifetime movie. I come for a mother who was an addict and just from the clips I have seen I can tell the movie will be powerful and tell a story that is not often told from and African American perspective. I am such a fan and cannot wait and am praying that you will come back to Denver some day (saw you during the sugar water tour). Love, Teka J.

    i was truly disappointed when i could not watch your 2/21/10 movie tonight, “Sins of a the Mother.” For weeks, Cablevision/Lifetime /Channel 45 (Bronx, ny) advertised your movie. However, tonight, Channel 45 instructed the Cablevision customers to switch to Lifetime Movie Network. I could not find that cable station, so I called Cablevision. The Cablevision rep told me that i was about the 100th customer calling about your 2/21/10 movie! I was also informed by the rep that Cablevision did not have Lifetime movie Network (LMN). So, i consider the action by Cablevision/Lifetime as fraud. I just wanted to inform you that no one in New York: Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, or Long Island was able to view your movie featured for Black History Month!

    Hi Jill,

    My son and I love to watch you in, “No.1 Ladies Detective.” When are you coming back to that show? We saw the LMN movie too, that was very good. You all did a great job on the movie. I love to watch you on film. But girrrl….please go back to Africa! I’m just wanting to watch that show again on HBO. Are you going to continue that series? please continue. I love it!!! When I was watching , “Sins of the mother,” I keep waiting for your African accent to slip in. Even though I know it’s just for the show, I’m just use to hearing it. I kept going in and out, like saying to myself, “something is missing here.” Then I remembered, “this is just a regular movie, it’s not No.1 Ladies Detective.” Girl you gotta back to that, that’s yours. You do that character so well, it fits you like a glove. And you and Noni are suppperrr together. I love that show!!!!

    I loved your roll in the movie WHY DID I GET MARRIED. I had to buy the move because of your roll, and the passionate way you brung it girl! esp. when you got it all together and you lost the weight , regained your self worth and you told your girls what you felt like after all the hurt. It really helped me to keep walking foward in Gods will and not my own.
