I rushed to the Store yesterday, only to find the live dvd . As usual I glaced at the dvd/cd only to find that only a few of my favorites and all of my not so favorites were included on the dvd. I’m so dissapointed I love Jill Scott like no one can understand. I been to every concert performance of Jill scott’s in Detroit. I just wanted more of my favorites to be included. Please Jill Scott you must come out with a live dvd of “The Real Thing ” tour that includes every song especially Imagination..
well, I rushed to the store as well.as a matter of fact I left work when the mall opened to get this! I was not disappointed at all! Jill is superb..she really knows how to move the crowd..i felt like i was there…EXCELLENT!!!
I love jill a whole lot but I was very dissapointed like Lee-Lee. I thought the live dvd/cd was going to be similar to Jill’s first live cd done in 2001. I would have enjoyed it more if the dvd focused more on the new songs from the new cd. This most likey was not Jill’s fault but of Hidden Beach. Please pay more attention to what the fans really want, thanks.
Hello, I don’t yet own Live In Paris but I previewed and it’s hot as always and worth, I just ordered my copy please buy Jill deserves it.
I bought the dvd too. I was not disappointed. I love Jill Scott, but like the others, some of the fan favorites were not on the disc. Although, I knew this when I bought it, I was hoping Hidden Beach slipped in a few favorites, namely Whenever You’re the production the dvd, the different views on Jill’s face (at the same time), the crowd, the band, it was too much. I just wanted to focus on Jill so I could vibe.
Okay, I rushed to get her cd on Tuesday!!!! I was so excited to see her performance from her last cd.
I WASNT DISAPPOINTED!! Girl has mad skills for real!! She can really sing and her band is on fire. I play the keys, so to see an artist that truly loves music and expresses that love is “lovely” to me. Yes these songs were not the current ones, but it still was the BOMB DIGGITY overall. The way she feels her songs to the point of crying, that surprises me. I KNOW she knows those songs very well and she has rehearsed so many times but she sings them like it was her first concert performing those songs. She reminds of Frankie Beverly in concert. That man still sings “we are one” like he just wrote it yesterday. THATS THE REAL THING which is Jill Scott. Oh and she explains what her words mean. I love that about her too!
I really dig her current songs that are on the DVD. I HOPE hidden beach records her current cd live b/c she is on fire.

Yes, I rushed out the get the DVD the day it premiered. I have to admit I was a little disappointed. “A Long Walk”, one of her most famous hits wasn’t on the DVD. Also, “Cross My Mind” was missing and she won a grammy for that song. I thing more should have been added, including her commentary, because she always talks to her audience. Maybe they’ll get it right next time.
wow, some real complainers and you call your selves fans..she just came out with the new cd for heaven’s sake!!..give her some time, she will come out with something from the new c,d just be patient..The decision to make this Paris joint was AFTER she had the tour all set up! and it was over a year ago..just give her time..musically, has she let you down yet??
I was excited to get the new dvd and I enjoyed the songs she DID sing from the Real Thing! No some of my favorites were there, but she is on tour now so we have to support her concerts too. If she put the WHOLE concert on DVD alot of people wouldnt go……NOT a real Jill Fan…..but some people. She performs in Philly on March 7th and I cant WAIT. A REAL Jill fan appreciates ALL her work…..I enjoyed Live in Paris….Its like having a private Jill concert at home!!!!!
