I have always loved your music. You have a great vibe and I am a huge fan. I did a gig or two with Lil John here in the ATL. He is sooooo cool. He’s a naturally nice, giving, and fun guy. I’m glad God blessed you with him. He’s alright. Continued success and I pray that the both of you continue to be fruitful and multiply.

What is important is that after all the negativity surrounding her and her relationships, how she lives her life, how she embraces her sexuality, she still continues to rise. When I read comments like some of those posted below, then think of Jill, Maya Angelou’s voice pops up in my head with her rendition of “I rise”.

Jill, continue to do what you do lady. When I say lady I mean it in EVERY respectful sense of the word. You’re vibrant, funny, loving, beautiful, sensual …. just all-round amazing. If your new love embraces all that you are and helps you to further embody who you can keep growing to be …. then I say let the haters hate.

Congratulations on your engagement and I pray that he continues to treat you like the lady you are ….. simply phenomenal!!!!!!

To the people who are defending Jill’s self-esteem:

If you don’t know her or anything about her personally, beyond what you’ve seen in interviews or heard in her music, you may stand corrected.

Jill went through it with her divorce from Lyzel. She went her separate ways last year with her longtime manager. John is, coincidentally, her drummer. I met everyone in her band and when I met John, prior to him being her “fiance,” he was trying to get @ me. He had a gf at that time and someone put me up on the fact that he should have a collar and leash, not a frohawk.

Jill is on the rebound. She thought she would still be married right now and have children, but what she is on is husband #2, a career that is mediocre but she is not a household name by any means, and a movie role here and there. Her music and her albums are fantastic and she has a beautiful voice, but she also has a sh!tty attitude and she’s been taking her sh!t out on people who have been there since the inception who, despite whatever trials and tribulations she’s going through, still love her and want the best for her.

I wish Jill and John all the best, but in the end, they will only end up with what they deserve.

I didn’t have the opportunity to bear witness to the special moment. However, I was surprised and happy to hear my gurl Jill is engage. I wish her blessings and happiness in her life.

However, do be careful Jill. This does seems soon after Lyzel and the divorce. But you will know better than me. Protect your self, financially, and continue to live, love and be happy.
