Shame on you Teinisha, you are a regular on this site, I’m surprised at ya!! Anyways, all I have to say is thank GOD for angels on earth. I will never forget my experience w/ Jill. She brought so many real issues to the fore front and I think that is why so many of us on can relate. I had the privilage of seeing her twice when she came to D.C. These pics are so explosive and trust me this is just a spoon full of what you would get if you went to her show. No I will rephrase that, if you you ever get the chance to visit her house. Because I promise you, that’s how intimate you are with her, even though there are 2,000 people around you.

We traveled 7 hrs 24mins to see Ms Jill in Memphis Tn, this past weekend - IT WAS WORTH EVERY SECOND OF EVERY MILE!!

I traveled to Birmingham to see and hear you live I was way up top, never ever have I been that far up or back. But, inspite of it …Jill, your are absolutely wonderful Live and In Person as you are on album. It was an experience that I will always remember. I saw her concert in Chicago, she and her band were AMAZING!! The girl can sing and WRITE! Original and real, doesn’t get any better.
I went to the concert at the Fox in ATL. And I can I say and put this in record that this was one of THE BEST CONCERTS I have been to in years. I LOVE MS. JILL.
The Concert was excellent. Jill was just real, she didnt just sing her songs she connected with the audience and made you feel the songs. The best concert I have ever attended hands down. She saved the best for last and

I was at the fox on march 26,2008 in the lou and omg jill was amazing i mean this beautiful black sister is deep and broke it down. ..I love me some jill scott i have all of her cd’s.. all i have to say is my black sister keep doing what you do . ” i remember she made a comment on one of her cd’s ” I am a poet first and formost ” and my sister that you are.
This was simply a fantastic concert, not only to photograph, but to enjoy as a fan as well. Jill’s stage presence is phenomenal.
I just received this comment on one of the images:
“That woman looks like she could own any stage she steps foot on. Her stance, her hand gestures - wow. I can’t imagine what she’s like live if she commands a photograph this well.”

I saw her when she came to dc. I JUST WANT TO SAY I LEFT THE SHOW FEELING SO GOOD AND HAPPY AND WITH A HUGE SMILE ON MY FACE. HONESTLY IF SOMEONE HAD SLAPPED MY FACE THAT NIGHT IM PRETTY SURE I WOULD HAVE KEPT ON SMILING..LOL. IT WAS THE BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN. JILL I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO BEST.
I was blessed to enjoy your presence in Birmingham, for the final show. I live in Miami, but it was WELL WORTH the 13hr drive. I feel like I owe you so much. You give so much of yourself on CD, but that doesn’t compare to a Live performance. Thank you for BLESSING the world with your energy, talent, and your heart. I saw Jill in concert in Bham Sunday and I was blowed away!! To see her live is truly an experience. This a concert that I am so honored to say that I went to and will never forget! Jill you really know how to draw your audience in and really get the true meanings behind your songs. You are so down to earth. Thank you for sharing your talent with everyone. Oh and please,please record the song that you sung at the very end of the show. Loved it!

The photos are very beautiful, my wife and I saw her at the Landmark Theater in Richmond VA on 3/16. We had such good seats it was as if she were singing her heart our for us. She brought tears to my eyes and NO OTHER SINGER has ever done that to me before. Definitely the best of the best Ms. Jill Scott!!

You are just simply loved! And its for who you are, the words you’ve spoken and the energy you give. After the concert, all I could say was that I love you now more than ever. Because alot of artist come to Birmingham and give us a half a** show and want us to support them and their endeavors but Jill… WOW! (just to sum it up!)
The only thing that could have topped the night off is it I had the opportunity to actually meet you.

I drove all the way from Toronto, to Detroit just to see Jill Scott, and I must say this trip was well worth all the gas, hotel and every other expensives… Ne who… This was “The Real Thing” A beautiful expierence. I just hope that next time she will include Toronto in her tour.
OMG Jill is the truth. She put on a phenominal show. I say her that night at the Fox theatre with my sister-in-law. I have always loved her music and her song rang true with so many sisters.

These pics must have been @ her Friday nite show @ the Fox…I went to the Sat nite show and it was OFF THE CHAIN!!!! My girl Jill is sooooo real it’s unbelievable…she sounds just like her CD…I love this woman she is so deep and she knows how you are feeling…she has been there…she has lived it…the pain the hurt the endless struggle to regain control of all that is pure and precious to you..she digs deep and says the things we try to keep private and buried….she lets you know that it is ok to feel what you feel and its ok to voice it, talk bout …don’t ever be ashamed of it…you aren’t the first and you won’t be the last to feel this feeling…I loved that I was able to take part in hearing this truly blessed woman in person…it was worth the trip and every penny I spent for her ticket…GOD is awesome…keep being you Jill…he fa sho broke the mold when he created you! Nutin but love 4 ya girl!!!!!

Jill Scott put on soulful show at Birmingham’s Boutwell
She is elegant and earthy, confident and sassy.
She has a voice to rival Aretha’s and a much friendlier personality.
She gave a knockout show on Sunday, March 31, 2008 at Boutwell Auditorium, performing at 7:52 p.m. to a full house.
She is Jill Scott: singer, songwriter, poet, actress.
She’s your best girlfriend - at least, you wish she could be - and she thoroughly entertained the crowd with a two-hour set of songs, stories and streetwise chatter.
Scott and her team did just about everything right, and that’s no small feat at Boutwell. In fact, someone should have documented her appearance here, start to finish, as a blueprint for any musician who tackles the 6,000-seat auditorium.
Scott’s headlining set started promptly, about 15 minutes after opening act Raheem DeVaughn. Her technical crew finessed the shabby acoustics at Boutwell, eliminating its hollow boom and making the music sound good.
Each instrument in Scott’s 11-member band could be clearly distinguished. Best of all, there never was any problem hearing her vocals.
That’s the main attraction, after all, and Scott’s big, beautiful voice was much on display. Her art form is combining old-school sounds (soul, jazz, R&B) with the contemporary flow of rap and urban spoken word.
Jill was the mistress of all she surveyed at Boutwell, presenting songs from her Grammy-winning catalog. These included “Let it Be,” “The Real Thing,” “Gimme,” “Cross My Mind,” “Wanna Be Loved,” “Crown Royal” and more.
Part of the appeal was literary - her wordplay was superb - and Scott’s enunciation was crisp, precise, close to immaculate. Another pull was sensual; her lyrics tended to describe sexual yearnings or bedroom encounters. She was classy, though, cloaking the details in velvety or juicy metaphors.
I had the Pleassure of seeing Jill here in Memphis on Sat March 28th . I have attended many a Concerts; however,Nothing like this ever in my life……This was the most AMAZING concert that I have ever attended………This young lady is beyond AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEST CONCERT EVER!!!!!!!!! We didn’t want to leave….!!!!! Can’t Wait to See Her AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was privilaged to go to the concert in St. Louis @ the Fox Theater. I have seen you in concert three times and I have to say this was the best concert I have seen from you. It was as if you were preaching to all of the women in the theater. I will never forget the energy you gave all of us. Thank you for sharing your gift.

I attended the last show in Birmingham March 30. 08, girl you did your thing. I had to come and represent for DC & Raheem. First off, that was the first time I ever saw you perform, and I assure you that it will not be the last. I really appreciate the way you bought that DC GO-GO flavor out with “It’s Love”. Thanks for representing. It was tight in the stands, but my fiancee’ and I really enjoyed ourselves. We were one of few that stayed to the very last end. Keep up the good work, Jill, and more importantly keep your head up.
If you plan on selling the Birmingham performance DVD or CD, make me one of the first on the list to hear about it. We asked the sound guys, but they told us we couldn’t purchase through them.

I seen Jill Scott in concert in Detroit, MI I highly recommend everyone to see her in concert. She did an excellent job and will be going to New Orleans to see HER JILL SCOTT again. And she came back on stage and sang more songs after her performance in Detroit. She is a TRUE and excellent performer. I can’t say it enough times
Me and my girls braved a SERIOUS winter storm to drive from Lansing to Detroit to see you Jill! I mean we passed cars in ditches and everything, but we were DETERMINED not to miss this concert! We made it……an hour after the show started and missed Raheem Devaughn (bummer), but we got to catch most of your performance. It was worth all the snow, ice, and wind. We had a wonderful time! You sang ALL my jams and it was an experience I will never foget. Especially how we ran into a pervert in the parking lot after the concert who kept trying to flash us!!!! YES HE DID! (LOL).

I was so sick about missing the 3/26/08 show! The tickets went on sell the last w/e on Jan and I went to get mine the 2 wk of Feb—SOLD OUT—-was all I saw! I’m a travel agent so I even checked surrounding cities for shows and EVERYWHERE within a 500 mile radius was SOLD OUT; that is how bad MS. SCOTT is—-I am on a mission before this tour ends to see my girl—-and if I’m just unable to do so I have all her CD’s so I’ll wait until the next tour (smile)

My husband and I saw Jill in Richmond on 3/16 and she tore it down. IT was so intimate the way she connected with the audience. Her set was beautiful, all the pretty colors…. It was awesome. Her band was the “truth” they were like hot butter. Every note they played, you could feel it. Jill, continue to be “Golden” and yes, I UNDERSTAND, WHAT I FEEL INSIDE!!!!

This was my first experience with seeing Jill Scott live in concert. I am still overwhelmed with the essence of this artist. Her spirit radiated the entire room and she has an gravitating stage presence that holds your attention. Christianity would say that this girl is “anointed”. You only see this type of artistry and gifting in people that are chosen. She is the gift, in and out. God bless your spirit, integrity, and tenacity to walk in your destiny. You are the truth.

jill is a NATURAL beauty, but i dont think this hairstyle is fitting.
