Jill Scott, I think that you are a breath of fresh air as an artist, I write music and i would love to to have the privilidge to write for you. Your voice is amazing! I have all of your CD’s and my girlfriend and I attended your concert in Detroit, MI- And i would love for you to sing at my wedding. Keep being the person that you are; down to earth and making music from your soul!
Ms Jilly from Philly…Really enjoyed your show this past Sunday in Detroit. You are indeed “The Real Thing”. Keep doing whatcha doing..and I just can’t wait till the next time you are in the D. We love u..
Hey Miss Jill -
Congratulations on your special engagement to your master drummer extraordinaire! I remember when he toured with George Duke, Rochelle Ferrell and Al Jarreau during their Montreaux Jazz Series, and I know he is the one for you-this particular union is your perfect harmony! I missed your extraordinary concert last night at Chastain Park, so please…can you come back soon to Chastain? I would love to experience the beautiful nuance of the beautiful evening that I hear you delivered in concert! You are an amazing woman, full of grace, intelligence, and a lovely spirit! God bless you in your romantic, musical and soulful journey in life and love! Love you much…
Jill has a beautiful spirit. She is an awesome role model, and has empowered me in so many ways; through her music!
My husband and I had the pleasure of seeing Jill in Atlanta. Any you know what, it was worth every penny! We drove up from Charleston, SC, and we both look forward to the day that Jill comes to Charleston! Hope it’s soon! God Bless you Jill! You are so beautiful and positive. Keep on making beautiful music!
We just got back from our 3rd Jill Scott concert this Year and it was even better than before. We actually got her to notice us by displaying some posters our daughter drew for us to take to the concert. She thanked us for the signs and it totally made my night. The concert knocked out socks off once again!! She called me Pookie!! I wanted to scream I was so excited. She was very gracious to us all and we enjoyed her thoroughly. I can tell she was glad to be back in the states after being in Europe last week. After the concert we were able to meet the bass player D.W. and the drummer Spanky! Also the backup singers China and Ra-Re Valverde who has a new CD out, she signed it for me also. Did not get to meet Jill in person but I am very appreciative for the experience. She definitely gets a lot of Love In Richmond. We miss her for next few months while she is shooting in Africa. Take care Jill, we LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!
I also just returned from Jill’s Richmond VA performance…I am still in awe..Jill was truly amazing, best concert i’ve been to in a long time. Jill don’t stay away from Richmond to long…We luvs you here baby.
Jill, girl you rocked it last night in Richmond at Friday’s at Sunset. You looked great, you did your thing. Thank you I feel blessed to have been in your presence. Much Love and RESPECT!!!
Although I have been a fan from the first CD, yesterday was my FIRST Jill Scott concert. I saw her at the Merriweather Post Pavillion in Maryland. It was best concert that I’ve been to in all of my thirty-something years! When Jill finished her “tryin to get you laid segment” of her spectacular show, I literally was ready to make love!!! Thanx Ms. Scott for a wonderful experience. I will never miss your show whenever you are near Maryland!
As-Salaamu’Alaikum Jill, The concert at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City on Sunday August 3,2008 was magnificent!!! I really enjoyed myself and I would still like you to perform a concert in Trenton, New Jersey at The War Memorial Building known as Patriots Theater. All praises due to Allah I experienced a chance to see you perform live for my birthday.

I LOVEEEEEEE your music to the fullest extent!!!! I first heard gettin in my way when i was about 10 and I was Really Feeling it….. Since then I must admit I love you more then sade. I think its because you ARE THE Sade of my generation. I watched you on BETJ and who ever dosnt like you or the music that you make I think they have some psychological problems. I hope to catch you in concert before you leave to africa but if not God Bless and have a safe trip.
Thank you Jill for all you do. I saw you in Detroit. I was the one standing right in front of the stage with tears in my eyes. God has truly blessed this world with a beautiful and talented woman. You are a true inspiration. Please come back soon.
Much Luv and Respect….
Ummmm, My Love, why come your summer stage concert is cancelled? Are you alright? Is everything ok? When will you be back in NY?
Blessings!

Hi
Does anyone know why the NY Summerstage concert was canceled? Also will Jill still perform at the Brooklyn Concert?
I can’t believe it! I live in SF and have been waiting and waiting for the chance to hear Miss Scott live. So when I found out she would be at summer stage in NY on August 12th, well you know I bought myself a plane ticket (wasn’t cheap) and called my friends and told them to get ready because I was coming and that we were going to see Jill Scott. So I’m sure you can imagine how very disappointed I was to find out TODAY that her show has been canceled permanently. What happened?! I feel so let down.
Is she going to be in Brooklyn? If so I need to make arrangements to get there. What is the website with this info. that is if anyone knows.
The event is in Wingate park and it is on the 11th not the 12th.

The Chicago concert last night (8/7/08) was wonderful as usual. Jill pointed out in her own words, who is that fine brotha in the white suit in the front row? Yes, it was I! Dr. Brian Hill. I will only describe it as special! I know she is engaged and I am very respectful and happy for her. Hoever, it was nice to finally get noticed. All in class and in good taste SPECIAL.
Don’t forget, check out the launch of my new company AFRICENTIALS.COM
Peace!

Jill, I saw you in concert on August 8 in Chicago and I really enjoyed your show and the band! Everyone was exceptional! All the men are scrumptiously handsome and of course, I’m not a hater or afraid to say, my sisters are gorgeous as well. People always tell me that I look like you. :O)You are a beautiful spirit and your voice is flawless. I support you and always will. I wish you the best in all your future endeavors. Peace and Love
Hey Jill!
Saw you here in C-Town last night and your show was tremendous!! You and your band were phenomenal!! Really loved the “Old School” mix! Your spirituality is amazing! Please keep up the great work and “get some rest” ! One Love…
Jill, I just wanted you to know that me and my wife went to your show on Friday here in Chicago and it was great. This was very special to us because my wife is in the NAVY and she is getting ready to go overseas for a year in a week. So this was a great experience for us to do something together before she leave. Thank you so much. God Bless
Jill, My husband and I saw your show in Chicago on August 8th and it was absolutely fabulous! I also saw you when you were here in March -equally fabulous show. Your live show is the best I have ever seen and I think one of the reasons ist is that you have a way of connecting with your auidence. Another is your outstanding band and singers. Your words have a way of touching and inspiring such a diverse group of people. Blessings to you as you prepare to travel to Africa for the taping of your show. I look forward to seeing you live again, soon.
Love Ya!!!!
My sista’ Jill -
After missing your amazing show at Chastain in Atlanta on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 that I heard so much about, I’m in a awakening, natural high by constantly watching your combo”Live from Paris” DVD/CD, which is so, so awesomely deep!…I love your live version of “Crown Royal”, “My Love”, and “Golden”…aw girlfriend…how mesmerizing is this!!!! Anxiously awaiting your next show in Atlanta where I will definitely be in the house, enjoying the amorous rapture of what you bring me and the entire world…love! Please come back soon! ‘It’s just a metaphor of something I want more’…(Crown Royal (on ice)…you are deepness in its truest form..a wonderfully gifted, one-of-a-kind special woman and ‘the real thing’!
May you and your soulmate/fiance John continue your romantic, musical journey of life and love! Life is a beautiful thing when you’re in love…a dream fulfilled!
Infinite peaceful love, with bountiful blessings to you and your families…Love, sistagirl…
I feel truly blessed knowing that Miss Scott will be blessing Botswana with her presence. My biggest gift would be to see her performing live. Loved watching her as Mma Ramotswe. She’s truly gifted.
Ms. Jill Scott you have inspired me in so many ways. You have showed me that a women can still be covered and look sexy. Man you are amazing. I listen to you and I hear how real you are in your music. The fact that you write your write your own lyrics shows that its from the heart and your metaphors is sick. I love to sing and I write my own lyrics. You encourage me to keep going after my dream.
One of my dream is to one day perform with you. You remind me of Bellie H., Ella F., Bessy S, and the list goes on. You are like a mordern day of them all with your own twist. God bless you for sharing your amazing gift with us.
I like how you are going to Africa and its not all over the news so its not over rated. I’m from Africa so thank you for going to share another talent of yours.
Love Jill and have seen her live before with very satisfactory results. Saw her in Cleveland approx. 2 weeks ago – still love Jill, but the sound was TERRIBLE (and I was sitting dead-center in the 5th row). Half the time the music drowned out Jill’s singing, you could barely hear her back-up singers and the quality of the music itself was very poor (a blur of sound where the instruments were hard to distinguish). I was very disappointed and hope this is not a problem on other nights.
