Ashley Stewart holds in-store Meet n Greet with Jill Scott
“There were over 300 people, some who had been in line since the mall opened at 10am expecting to meet Jill Scott. Jill appeared upset that she would not have enough time to meet everyone. So she decided to take action and actually walked through the store and out into the mall to make sure she greeted all in line. There appeared to be some very happy and engaged fans…”

I was just at this Jill meet-n-greet at the Stonecrest Mall in the ATL. If I was not leaning on the rail, you would see me pass the sister with the giant white Afro. Anyway, I was a bit disappointed , I had been there from 10:45 to 3:15 up until she left. The event was supposed to start at 12:00, but it didn’t star until about 2:00. They let 15 people inside to see her then, announced that she would not be signing any autographs. (I was person number 16, only because at the very last minutes few people jump into the line). She was only going to say a few words. They stopped letting people inside the store unless you said that you were going to shop. After she came out the store, and greeted everyone she could, from behind the large bodyguards, people just rushed the store. We understand the fact that she had to get ready for the show. But, something should have been done for the fans that had been there for hours and to only got a glimpse of her and hear her talk a little about a new Butterfly Bra line at Ashley Stewart. I feel as though I was jipped. I am highly disappointed. But, also blessed and glad for the glimpse of her I did received.

P.S. Jilly from Philly or Hidden Beach can a sisterfan get an autograph photo or a Jill Scott t-shirt or something.

My fiance and I are avid Jill Scott fans! I went to see her today at Stonecrest. I was towards the back of the line. I was disappointed that I didn’t get to meet her one on one, but I understand that she is busy and had to get ready for her concert tonight. It was very nice of her to even schedule a meet & greet on a day that she had a show. She walked out to meet the fans on line and was smiling the whole time. I was able to get some great pictures. She seems like a very nice & humble person. After she gave her speech about her new Butterfly bra line, she did sign a few autographs.
Jill is a VERY talented artist and her work speaks for itself. I wish her the best in her future productions !
My best buddy and I was at Stonecrest today. We got there about 11:45. Mind you, my friend flew from Ft. Lauderdale to attend the concert. Everything that Christina B. said is correct. I do understand that Jill is busy, but I was really bothered that the security allowed random people to jump in front of the people who waited patiently to see Ms. Scott. It was a slap in the face. I just wish that it was more organized. If we are able to set aside some time, (took off of work), the least they can do is take the time to make sure that these type of events run smoothly.

I was one of the fans who arrived at the mall at about 10:15 am really waiting and excited to see Jill. I was really looking for an autograph for my father and I was very upset that we weren’t able to do so. I was about the 5th person in line and thats becasue people jumped in line. I love Jill but I really loved the concert there are not enough words to describe how great it was, YOU HAD TO BE THERE
THE CONCERT WAS SOOOOOOOO WONDERFUL!!!! IF YOU DON’T HAVE JILL SCOTT TICKETS YOU ARE REALLY MISSING A GREAT PERFORMANCE… SHE PUT IT DOWN FOR 2 HOURS AND 15 MINS AND THEN CAME BACK OUT AND DID A SPECIAL SONG SHE JUST WROTE.. OMG… THAT’S MY GIRL….HOPEFULLY SHE WILL RETURN THIS SUMMER FOR A OUTDOOR CONCERT….
I atteded the Stonecrest Ashley Stewart event yesterday. I was one of the fortunate 10 people that were escorted into the store for a special audience with Ms. Scott. I was fortunate to be in a position to have taken some really good pics. I also recieved an autograph. If all that was not enough I then attended her concert at the FOX. All I have to say about that concert is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I was totally mezmerized. Ms. Scott is trully one of the most talented artist of our time. Thank you!!!!!!
did ashley stewart have this announced on their website? if jill goes to any other stores where can we find out?
that is not true there was not 300 people in line it was only about 60-70. Yeah she did come out of the store and walk by everyone and said hello. but this event was so not in order that for people like myself that stayed in line for 21/2 hours to get nothing not an autograph or a picture i feel was unfair. Jill is my girl but i am pissed!!!!!!!
I too was one of those loyal fans that waited for hours to see Ms. Scott & was sad to wait so long…not skipping in the line, be so close & get so little. But the concert was more than worth it. Jill was great…I’m so glad I made the trip from South Florida.
