   I recieved the following email from ticketmaster:

   Hello, this is Ticketmaster Customer Service with an important alert for your upcoming event. Jill Scott, scheduled at the Central Park Summerstage on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, doors at 6:00PM has been cancelled.
   Your credit card will automatically be credited the ticket price and convenience charges, and should post to your account within 7 to 10 business days.

   The ticketmaster and Summerstage websites also say this is canceled

   I know that this is a long shot, but I am a long time fan and I have tickets to your concert in Missouri, it’s calling for rain and they won’t allow umbrella’s just wondering if you would schedule for fri instead of thur, but if not I;ll see ya in the rain, I’m a real fan I’ll be there rain or shine

   I still have not received this e-mail that is going around, but LiveNation’s website lists the performance as cancelled, and the following was posted on the Summerstage site:

   Wyclef Jean
   Tuesday, August 12, 2008
   From 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM
   Central Park SummerStage
   Live Nation has canceled the benefit concert scheduled for August 12th featuring Jill Scott. Full refunds are available from the point of purchase.

   Help!

   As far as I know Jill Scott will be performing live tonight in Brooklyn,NY at the summer concert series. The location is at Wingate Field .The show stars at 7:30 tonight.

   Does anyone have a definite confirmation that this show is going on tonight? Ive been calling Wingate, but haven’t gotten anyone on the line! Besides, its supposed to rain tonight.

    Is the concert in Brooklyn for Monday, Aug. 11th still on, or will it be rescheduled due to the weather? Any information is greatly appreciated!

    I also received an email from Live Nation confirming the cancelation, and called to inquire as to why the show had been canceled. They are unsure themselves and advised me to check Jill Scotts website, but that doesn’t help either. I’m so upset over this!!!

    The WIngate show was great! I was sad that the crowd didn’t really know the songs from the new album, but I was open! She sang almost every song from “The Real Thing”. It was incredible!

    Jill Scott tore it up in Brooklyn last night! The lightening kept striking above the field, but Jill Scott was chasing the storms with her majestic presence and voice! It was phenomenal! Yeah, I was one of the few people in the crowd as well, who knew the Real Thing songs and was proud too. Jill Scott, We love you!!!

    As a longtime Jill fan, I gotta say this is whack!!! I feel very cheated and I wish she would simply have reschedule the concert rather than cancelling it outright.

    There are those of us who couldn’t make the Wingate concert and were looking forward. If she had to cancel one, why not the one where NOBODY PAID?!?!?!

    Those who did pay are now going to get refunded and the worthy cause those proceeds were going to will not get the money.

    I’ve got to say, man, there’s some love lost for Jillio on my block.

    Is miss thang turning into a Kathleen Battle-style diva?

    i just went on the Central Park summer stage website just to check out the time of the concert tonight and its written in red that it has been cancelled and that all tixx will be refunded at the place of purchase

    No love to share today . . .we had to get to the Central Park Summerstage to find out the show had been cancelled. What a bummer. I’m sure we’ll think twice before committing to another JS concert.
