   Hello Jill,

   I’ve been a fan since i saw you sing the hook that you wrote for The Roots song, “You Got Me”. I mean Badu got down on the song on the album, but when i heard and saw you sing it, i was mesmerized and said to myself, “Who is this lovely full-figured woman?” I’m not going to lie, yo make me melt everytime i see you on-line, in a video, on tv, movies, etc. You are such a wonderful artist and your material wheter it’s poetry, songs, whatever, it touches me and just seems to get inside of me. I’m quite sure that everyone who appreciates good music and poetry and true artistic works would agree with me. You truly are “Beautifully Human”. I’m just sitting here now writing this and looking at your pictures shaking my head saying, “Damn, she is so fine!” Your presence on the airwaves and siverscreen is a blessing to all of us that enjoy artists such as yourself. This is a list of the top five most beautiful black women, other than my wife or family, in my sight: 1. Nia Long(#1 for years), 2. Jilly from Philly(You got me), 3. Erykah Badu(Good Lawd), 4. Tracee Ellis Ross(Wow), 5. Alicia Keys(she got a lil sumtin, sumtin). The thing that is so special about this list to me is that you all are beautiful black women who exude a type of glamour and beauty that is so jaw dropping and natural. I enjoy everything that you do, and will forever be a fan. Peace.
   P.S., “Crown Royal”, that’s a masterpiece of of erotic blissfullness. Even though it is a very short song, it goes a long way. It’s funny how i’ve heard so many short songs or rhymes that are so impactful and raw and good, and i think that they should have been longer, but yet, if they were made to be longer, the song or rhyme may not have had the same impact. Keep it up sista!

    I am still waiting to see this film, is it in the US yet? I am clueless, hopefully I will get some info in when it is going to happen. I can hardly wait for the Essence magazine to come out. I still have the one from last year with Jill on the cover and I still read it like it just came out. Well like I said before, Jill is on the top of my list. It used to Sade, Anita Baker and Amel.     I love your voice and your smile. I have just seen your interview on BET and I am delighted to find that you are starring in #1 Ladies … I have read all those books. I admire the author and and the way that those stories are written. I love Ma Ramotswe and you are exactly the image I have of her in my mind. When will the movie show in the states? Will you do any of the other Ramotswe stories?

    I was at the show you did in kansas city…you were amazing and this city needed you more than ever. Your show has been the single most amazing experience I have had since moving to town. Keep making magical music that is always a blessing!! When I here your music I tell everybody I know to get it or I buy it as a gift. The most amazing thing is that you give your fans a growing extension of your self through music over and over again.
