Three-time Grammy Award Winner, Actress, Poet and International Entertainer Jill Scott and trend setting clothing brand, Ashley Stewart have partnered, and together spread their wings as they launch the Jill Scott inspired Butterfly Bra Collection on the first stop of “The Made to Uplift Tour.”
The Butterfly Bra is specifically designed to provide true comfort and support to full-figured women, without taking away how a woman should feel in her bra—SEXY. Simultaneously, Ashley Stewart will launch their e-commerce Web site, to provide an easy, online shopping experience to women, world-wide. A panel discussion led by Jill Scott, Marla Minns, EVP/General Manager, Ashley Stewart Stores, Melfi Jimenez, Director of Product Development and Zonobia Washington, Fashion Market Editor, Essence magazine will give an overview of the Butterfly Bra Collection and “The Made to Uplift Tour,” which travel to four other cities in May.
The panel discussion will explore why it is not necessary for voluptuous women to have surgery and the Butterfly bra is an alternative to going under the knife; the importance of support and the necessity of feeling beautiful and sexy.
For years, full-figured women haven’t been given the opportunity to build a good relationship with their bra. I have been waiting for the debut of the Butterfly since first hearing about it. I myself am a full figured woman and have, in fact, had difficulty in finding a bra that works with my body. I offer my sincere thanks to you for having our backs, Jill(and especially the front). I lend my support full force to you Ms. Jill and I plan to attend the store stop in Washington, DC this Tuesday.

I was very disappointed, on May 30th, when I made the decision to go to the mall and give Jill some support for the plus sized women with ample bosom. First of all, the store was off limits, and this particular mall does not have the crowds that most Chicagoland malls have. The small crowd that was gathered outside the store was almost admitted when we were told that only press would be admitted, I think I saw one young lady with a camera and plenty of moochers and what seemed to be a horrible representation of plus sized women…
Jill you are the “It Girl”, you are extremely humble and a blessing to your fans. By the way start working on a 44G for me in that Butterfly bra. Thanks for being you.
