I am on my way to pick up 3 copies of the months Essence. One for reading, one to put away for safe keeping and one for reference purposes. We will be checkin Jill at the Hampton Jazz Festival in June and I can hardly wait. I wonder how she keeps up with all the events all year long, her endurance is unbelieveable. Jill is my absolute favorite. We love you Jill!!

just wanted to say that uu are awesome!!! so pleasant so sweet! I look forward to meeting u one day!!!!
I read this article and it was so wonderfully refreshing to celebrate Jill and the ladies (Mary and Alicia). I am a lover of music and words so I love them all, but I share a special kinship with Jill. We are both from North Philly. (I’m from 23rd & Jefferson). I am a Soldier and I’ve been gone from Philly for almost 8 years, and it’s always great to relate to something great coming out of North Philly. Jill’s comment about being proud to represent positivity and success from North Philly brought tears to my eyes. She is a genuine artist for whom I will always admire and respect. Keep bringing us beautiful, soulful, and meaningful music. Much Love from a fellow poet, lover of music and words, and NorthPhillyGirl!
