Look, you have to do something for yourself , sometimes. You have to appreciate you as individual like Jill Scott. Jill Scott is about love and soul, her songs is powerful and well thought of about feelings that women desire. You go to that concert for yourself and be a proud black woman.
Peace, Love and Music…… EJ

and her band is on point!! You and your sister will really enjoy it!
Can’t thank you enough Jill….thanks for making such inspiring music!
Jill,
I have been familiar with your work since before “Who is Jill Scott?” was officially for sale. (I’d read an article in a local newsletter you.) Since that time, there has not been a time that I’ve missed you when you’ve perforemd in Detroit; nor has there been a time that I’ve listened to your art and wasn’t moved; in different ways, on different days, to different songs (LOL). I’ve already told my husband that for: 1) my birthday (3/19); 2) our one-year wedding anniversary (3/17); 3) the beginning of my vacation (3/21), I only want one thing – Jill Scott tickets!!!
Just when I think you’ve outdone yourself, you come back HARD, sista!!! I am grateful for your voice (which echoes so many others), your talent (which is evident with each performance), your art (which is felt in every song) and your heart (which shines through every photo I’ve seen).
Truthfully, I think (we) were robbed at the Grammys; however, even they recognize that they have to sit up and take notice of you and the “queenness” – (SORRY, ARETHA) that is you. When it is in divine order and God has (fully) prepared you for what comes with additional recognition and notariaty (sp?), you’ll get everything you deserve and the haters will have to “bow to the Sista-Queen”.
Can’t wait to see you in Detroit on March 21. Trust that my husband is gonna get a SERIOUS anniversary gift for making my wish come true!
HECK YEAH you should go. Jill Scott, thats the major chick right there
Ms. Jill, Let me start by saying I love your music and have every CD that you have released to date. I am still in Awww over your Greensboro NC concert on 3.2.08 which was my birthday (smile). I’m searching the web and counting my dollars maneuvering my pennies so I can see this concert again on this tour. Ive seen you in concert several times through out your musical journey but this concert, Oh My My ONCE was not enough with all the additional talent on stage including Jeff Bradshaw and the others who ever missed it I hate it for them. I want to thank you for jamming so hard on my birthday (smile) You are a blessing and your music has helped me laugh and cry and laugh again and made me aware that someone feels like me about certain life issues. I pray that God will continue to bless you so you can continue to allow your blessing to flow in your soulfulness as you to reach, teach and nurture and give to your audience their monies worth.
And I as a fan will keep buying CD’s and concert tickets and pumping up your music.
Much Respect & Abundant Blessings
Sheri
Jill, you were amazing in Greensboro this past weekend. (3/2/2008) You are definitely a STRONG black woman and I admire that about you. There is none other that comes close to singing with the clarity, power, and strength that you posess. Your abilities are definitely annointed by the hands of God. You are not only a singer, but a inspirational speaker. You have this humble, yet confident spirit about yourself that i have never seen before.
Lastly I enjoyed your closing song (the one that came to you in a dream). It spoke nothing but truth…Your and my father stands beside us each and everyday…and it is only through Him that Light, Life and Love exist.
I pray for your continued success. I am excited about where God has brought you from, what He is currently doing in your life….but moreover….I am excited about where her is about to take you!
Sincerely,
Clara Debnam
Jill Scott, I absolutely LOVE you and your music! My husband and I saw you at Constitution Hall in DC on March 15. YOU are AWESOME, FABULOUS, BEAUTIFUL, SEXY, BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD (there are so many more words)!! We were in the LAST row in the balcony section. Girl, I am 55 years old, and I RAN UP ALL OF THOSE STEPS!!! LOL! When we got to the top to our seats, Raheem DaVaughn was on stage and I started dancing and I did not stop dancing until we left the concert! You are AMAZING and SO BLESSED. Your beautiful voice and presence filled that hall to overflowing. There was so much energy and love in that audience and I thank God that we were there to participate and feel the love. YOU GO GIRL! I can’t wait for you to come back to the DC/MD/VA area. Much Love, Ro
Oh yeah, and your band is TIGHT!!!
