For those of you that want to get ready for Jill Scott’s portrayal as Precious Ramotswe on HBO, we highly recommend reading the book No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency. You can purchase the books online for only $10.. and it’s apparently an easy read… but should be an exciting way to compare the actual role Jill plays vs. the book.

I watched the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency last Sunday when it was broadcast in the UK on the BBC, I really enjoyed watching it especially your portrayal of Patience, it was as if you really were her and they were filiming a documentry about your life. Your accent was flawless which showed you really put a lot of effort into getting the character right. The BBC said that there was going to be a series which they would be broadcasting next year. I do hope that you will continue to play Patience, as I doubt any other actor could match the standard you set. This is often the case when they serialise programmes and don’t have the same cast members for the original, the new cast seem to struggle to match what came before. Congratulations Jill you have done very well can’t wait to see what other roles you play.

I watched your debut acting in “The No1 Ladies Detective Agency” and I looooved what you did, how you did it and I can’t wait for the rest.The scene you did with Kremlin was the most entertaining, I laughed out loud. I saw your emotions so clearly in your acting and I felt your struggle. You are really,really, good. I hope you get recognised for this work, Africans will certainly love you for this wonderful portrayal.
