Three-time Grammy Award winner, Jill Scott announced that she is expecting her first child while promoting HBO’s The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, on Friday. Scott, 36, found out she was pregnant just before filming for the show began in Botswana. “The first trimester I spent in Botswana,” she adds. “That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You’re sick every morning. It was seven hours time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14 hour days.”
This is the first child for both Jill and her fiancé, drummer Lil’ John Roberts. The baby is due April 25th.
